Rugby Clinic

St. James is offering an "Intro to Rugby" clinic for boys and girls going into grade 7, 8 or 9.

Aug. 28 - Sept. 1 (9am-11:30am)

Come learn the basics of this exciting new sport that is gaining popularity across Canada. Also, learn what it means to be a champion in God's eyes.

This clinic is a free sports ministry to the community. Register by calling the church at 689 6223.

Church Administrator

St. James United Church in Waterdown (www.stjameswaterdown.ca) is inviting applications for the part-time position of Church Administrator commencing in July 2006. Hours of work are Tuesday to Friday (inclusive) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The position requires:
Strong Christian faith and commitment
Excellent inter-personal skills, including tact, confidentiality and flexibility
A compassionate, friendly and sensitive approach to people and issues
Strong organizational, logistical and conflict-management skills
A strong aptitude for computer technology
Efficiency and attention to detail
Excellent time management abilities
Ability to prioritize and complete work with minimal supervision
A “team player” attitude, including a willingness to “pitch in” to “get the job done”
Dedication to continuous learning

Required Skills:
MS Outlook
MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desktop publishing experience

Additional helpful qualifications include:
Office experience, ideally in a Church environment
Internet-literate, with website content-management experience
Familiarity with the structures, procedures and terminology of the United Church
