ENCARNA WORSHIP INSTALLATION

During Christmas, St. James hosted the second ENCARNA Christmas Worship Installation. This year's installation focussed on the theme of brokenness, and how Christ was born into our brokenness as a way of bringing restoration. People from far and wide came to experience the two-night event. Thanks to Mission Flamborough and especially the Grindstone community for partnering with us to make this event a reality. Worship installations are new, artistic, contemplative worship events that bring worship alive in a whole new way. Look for other alternative worship opportunities coming up at St. James.

Youth Reunion

Over the holidays, a bunch of former Sr. Youth folks got together for a fun night of eating and hanging out at the church. Thanks to everyone who came out, and check out the new Youth group on Facebook.

Working on the Roof

Work has begun on the new steel roof for the church. Please pray for safety and good weather. Also the church is still accepting donations for the last few thousand dollars to pay for the roof. Any help is appreciated.

Larvae Your Neighbour - VBS

What a great week of Vacation Bible School! About 115 kids participated, along with close to 25 leaders, in one of the most successful VBS programs St. James has ever seen. What a great week of connecting with families, teaching and playing with young ones, and reflecting on God's love for all His critters, both big and small. Thanks to everyone who helped out, to all the parents, and especially to all the kids! Watch for tons more cool activities for kids coming up soon.

Children & Youth Kickoff BBQ & Open House - Sept 6, 5-7pm

Come find out what St. James offers for families with children and youth. Sunday School is now "Jubilee Kids". Sr. and Int. Youth are both on Wednesday nights. There are new events for the whole family to take part in, and for the building up of parents.

Come by on Wed. Sept. 6, 5-7pm, for a free BBQ, a chance to tour the facility, games, and a chance to talk to program leaders.

Rugby Clinic

St. James is offering an "Intro to Rugby" clinic for boys and girls going into grade 7, 8 or 9.

Aug. 28 - Sept. 1 (9am-11:30am)

Come learn the basics of this exciting new sport that is gaining popularity across Canada. Also, learn what it means to be a champion in God's eyes.

This clinic is a free sports ministry to the community. Register by calling the church at 689 6223.
